Nobel Prize Winner Professor Shuji Nakamura Officially Becomes Senior Technical Consultant of Xi'an Semipower Electronic Technology Company

From July 27 to 29, 2015, Xi'an Semipower Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. invited Professor Shuji Nakamura, the Nobel Prize winner in physics, to visit Xi'an through its industrial partners for a three-day technical exchange and academic visit. Introduction to Professor Shuji Nakamura:

Shuji Nakamura, born in Japan in 1954, graduated from Tokushima University, Japan, and is a Japanese-American electronic engineer. He is currently a professor in the Department of Materials, School of Engineering, University of California, Santa Barbara. In 1989, Professor Nakamura began to study blue LEDs based on Group III nitrogen materials. In 1993, Professor Shuji Nakamura developed high-brightness blue LEDs based on GaN, changing the previous 20 years of only red and green LEDs to bright and energy-saving white light sources. become possible. Professor Shuji Nakamura has obtained more than 200 U.S. patents and more than 300 Japanese patents in related fields, and published more than 550 papers.
