From July 21st to 22nd, 2016, the JEDEC JC-14 China Task Force Working Conference was led by the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and hosted by Xi'an Semipower Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., at Xi'an High-tech With the strong support of the enterprise association, it was grandly held at the Xi'an City Gate Conference Center. Director Yang Hua of the Innovation and Development Bureau of Xi'an High-tech Zone gave the opening speech, and Chairman Luo Yi of Semipower gave the welcome speech; Dr. Jiao Huifang of Huawei and Director Luo Daojun of the Fifth Research Institute Analysis Center presided over the exchange and discussion of the meeting respectively. Mr. Xi Xianmin, General Representative of the JEDEC Organization in China, witnessed the entire meeting and read out the document previously signed by the JEDEC JC14 Committee authorizing the establishment of the China Task Force. Dr. Jiao Huifang served as the chairman of the JEDEC JC14 China Task Group.
This meeting conducted extensive and in-depth technical exchanges in the field of semiconductor quality and reliability, discussed the next standard research direction and work focus, and determined that the third working meeting to be held in November will be hosted by the five institutes. At the meeting, experts and representatives from various fields such as Semipower and the Five Institutes, Huawei, and ZTE made conference reports respectively. The response at the meeting was enthusiastic and the atmosphere was harmonious.
The JC-14 committee is the semiconductor (solid-state) product quality and reliability committee under the JEDEC standards organization. It is one of the most commonly used basic technology committees in the electronics industry. Xi'an Semipower Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., as the host of this conference, actively participated in the formulation of JEDEC Chinese standards. Chairman Mr. Luo Yi gave strong support to the organization of this conference. At this meeting, Semipower was elected as the leader of the power device group of China TG of the JEDEC International Standardization Organization; and reached extensive cooperation intentions with Huawei, ZTE, Guangzhou Institute of Technology, Gree, Haier Intelligence, Emerson, etc., and will conduct research and development and testing of power devices. Conduct deeper exchanges on projects, among which the bidirectional thyristor project to be started together with Haier Intelligence will lead power devices into a new field.
As one of the first batch of JC-14 China TG members, Semipower will strictly abide by JEDEC policies and principles and proactively fulfill member obligations and responsibilities. We also look forward to vigorously carrying out exchanges and cooperation with other member units on the basis of the JC-14 working group, promoting the formulation and improvement of industry-related standards, and jointly promoting the development of China's semiconductor industry.
