The third group meeting of JEDEC JC-14 was held from November 17 to 18, 2016, at the Fifth Research Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in Guangzhou. Semipower device analysis engineer Luo Jingtao, system analysis engineer and Zhu Peng participated in the discussion and made proposals on behalf of the company. At the same time, General Manager Mr. Luo Yi also attended the meeting in person as a member of the JC-14 team.
This meeting mainly discussed and published various matters that were not discussed in the previous meeting. At the meeting, Semipower engineer Luo Jingtao gave a conference report on the topic of "Research on Sic MOSFET Reliability Experimental Methods" and suggested the establishment of TG. This suggestion was widely responded to by members of the JC-14 group. It has been confirmed that Huawei, Vishay, and the Fourth Institute of Electronics , four Emerson companies joined the TG. Engineer Zhu Peng delivered a speech titled "The differences of clearance & creepage distance requirements between SIC devices and Silicon devices" and suggested the establishment of a TG. The proposal was unanimously approved. It has been confirmed that Guowei, Huatian and other companies will join the TG.
During the two-day meeting, Dr. Jiao Huifang of Huawei Group expressed the hope to work with Semipower and other JC-14 team members to expand the organizational structure and build JC-14 into a network consisting of wafer, packaging and testing, device, application customers, and system terminals. All enterprises participated, and the standard organization with a complete industrial chain was unanimously recognized by the experts attending the meeting.
Mr. Luo Yi, General Manager of Semipower, said in his speech: JC-14 is a very excellent semiconductor industry organization that brings together outstanding companies and semiconductor elites in the industry, thus greatly promoting the optimization and promotion of JEDEC China, which is very beneficial to the industry. Regarding the formulation and implementation of standards, Mr. Luo Yi also said that Semipower, as a member of JC-14, will earnestly shoulder its responsibilities and work together with everyone, and will vigorously promote the establishment of the JC-14 organization.
